OPENING RECEPTION FOR THE LAUNCH OF THE ONLINE COLLECTIONS DATABASE

The On-line Collections Database is a new way for the Society to share its collections with the public. It features high-quality professional photographs of 134 highlights from our historic clothing collection, along with detailed descriptions that offer insights into style, construction, and usage. The catalog records also include interesting stories and biographical information about the individuals who wore the clothing. The men's, women's, and children's items in the database range in date from the mid-1700s to the present day, and represent all manner of clothing, from undergarments to high-end designer dresses.
