POINT CROSS performs traditional folk music, specializing in Scottish and Irish fiddle tunes and lively Appalachian and Cajun material. Featuring virtuoso fiddling, guitar, mandolin, and hammered dulcimer. POINT CROSS has been performing traditional folk music since 1985 when they released their first album, Strung Out. Taking their name from a fishing village in Cape Breton, Nova Scotia, the group is dedicated to presenting a range of music from the Celtic lands punctuated by North American derivations. A typical POINT CROSS program ranges from Scottish and Irish fiddle tunes to lively Appalachian and Cajun material anchored by the virtuoso fiddling of Liz Alpaugh. Deborah Foster, Lew Alpaugh and John Lionarons punctuate each program with vocals and expertise on a variety of acoustic instruments, such as guitar, mandolin, and hammered dulcimer. $15 per person, $12 for SIHS Members
