WATER SIGN performs fun, frolicking, mellow and melodious folk music and a cappella song, accompanied by 6-string and 12-string guitar, violin, viola, banjo, concertina, mandolin, tin whistle and spoons in the candle-lit Guyon Tavern at Historic Richmond Town.

Joy Bennet, David Kleiman, Steve Mayer and Ellen Weiss blend their traditional, classical, pop, and improvisational music backgrounds to present spirited interpretations of contemporary and historic acoustic folk song. The group's epertoire reads across time encompassing pieces from 14th-century ribald hunting songs through soothing 19th century Appalachian ballads, rollicking sea songs and chanteys, delta blues, and on to modern works and folk songs. WATER SIGN'S close vocal blendings are accompanied by 6-string and 12-string guitar, violin, viola, banjo, concertina, mandolin, tin whistle and spoons.

 

$15 per person, $12 for SIHS Members
Mini series of FOUR concerts: $55 ($44 for SIHS Members)
