Tours

Interpreter-led public tours are conducted during regular hours and personal tours may be arranged by appointment.

Interpreted Tours for the Deaf

Interpreted Tours for the deaf are conducted on the first Sunday of every month at 2:00, continuing through the summer.  Tours of the village will be interpreted in American Sign Language by volunteers from the Seymour Joseph Institute.  Included with regular village admission.

Group Tours

Admission for groups of 20 or more is $8 per person. A 10% discount will be offered on purchases made at the Museum Gift Shops.

We can arrange a special program that corresponds to your group’s interest in history, architecture, preservation or another subject for an additional fee. For Group Tour reservations and other information, please contact the Reservations Office at 718 351-1611 x 270.

You can also conduct your group’s business meeting in the Third County Courthouse.  For information call LaTesha Bourne at 718-351-1611 x 236


Groups of 8 adults or more (max 16 people) may arrange for pick up from the SI Ferry via our shuttle at no charge.  Pickups can be arranged between 12:30 pm and 2 pm on WEEKEND days .  Return trip no later than 4:30 pm.  Please make a reservation at least 2 days in advance of your visit.

School Tours

There is a full program of curriculum-based tours and workshops available for school groups of all ages at Historic Richmond Town and in your classroom.

Directions

Located in the heart of Staten Island, Historic Richmond Town is a 15-minute drive from all bridges and a 30-minute ride from the Staten Island ferry on the S74 bus.

FROM THE STATEN ISLAND FERRY:
Take the S74 bus from the terminal to Richmond Road and St. Patrick's Place.

BY BUS FROM BROOKLYN:
S53 at 4TH Avenue and 86th Street to Clove Road/Targee Street. Walk one block to Richmond Road, and transfer to the S74. Take the S74 to St. Patrick's Place.

FROM THE VERRAZANO NARROWS BRIDGE:
Follow New Jersey West route to Richmond Road/Clove Road exit. Exit, proceed to second traffic light and turn left on Richmond Road. About 4.5 miles ahead, at end of Richmond Road, make left onto Arthur Kill Road. Go one block, make left at light (The Parsonage) onto Clarke Avenue. Parking lot is just ahead on the left.

FROM THE BAYONNE BRIDGE:
Exit at Staten Island Expressway/Goethals Bridge sign. Keep right and take first exit, Richmond Avenue. Turn right onto Richmond Avenue and continue to Arthur Kill Road. Turn left onto Arthur Kill Road. Proceed approximately 1.5 miles and turn right onto Clarke Avenue (just beyond cemetery). Parking lot is just ahead on the left.

FROM THE GOETHALS BRIDGE:
Take Staten Island Expressway to Richmond Avenue exit. Turn left at traffic light and right at light onto Richmond Avenue. Continue to Arthur Kill Road. Turn left onto Arthur Kill Road. Proceed approximately 1.5 miles and turn right onto Clarke Avenue (just beyond cemetery). Parking lot is just ahead on the left.

FROM THE OUTERBRIDGE CROSSING:
Take Korean War Veterans Parkway to Richmond Avenue North exit. Turn right onto Arthur Kill Road. After passing cemetery, at traffic light turn right onto Clarke Avenue. Parking lot is just ahead on the left.
