Improve self-confidence, inter-personal relationships, reading skills and public speaking ability through acting and dramatic play! The Pendragon Players Acting School offers activities and formal acting classes for children all summer long!

  • Various Acting exercises/games

  • Monologue, skit & script readings

  • Theatre history

  • Swordplay/stage combat

  • Presentation skills

  • Making choices onstage

Ages: 6-13

Summer Semester Dates: 7/13, 7/20, 7/27, 8/3, 8/10, 8/17

Saturdays • 10:00AM-11:30AM

Price: $90/student/summer semester

(Students should wear comfortable clothes, sneakers and socks).

All classes will take place in the Historical Museum building. (Parking in lot at 441 clarke avenue.)

meet the teacher

Michael Pendragon has been a free-lancing Acting Teacher for children since 2003. He is a graduate of Brooklyn College with a B.A. Degree (Television/Theater) and College of Staten Island with an A.A. Degree (Liberal Arts/Theatre). He has served as a Director, Producer, Writer and Actor with the Dedicated Artists Theatre Company for numerous stage productions throughout Manhattan. Other experience includes: Teaching Artist with Sundog Theatre, After-School Counselor for the YMCA, Interpreter/Docent for Historic Richmond Town (since 2004), and Post-production Coordinator for Lancit Media Entertainment (producers of the Emmy Award-winning television show, “Reading Rainbow”). Also, as an Actor, Mr. Pendragon has appeared in various stage productions throughout Staten Island & Brooklyn.
