Whether you're a student, a historian, or a family genealogist, Historic Richmond Town's library provides a vital resource for local history research. Library holdings include more than 15,000 published volumes; an extensive archive representing Staten Island families, businesses, and organizations from the 1600s to the present day; and thousands of photographs of local people and places.
The library is open by appointment only for anyone who wishes to conduct research on site; we will also make every effort to respond to research requests. You may also make quick research requests by phone or email.
We do request donations for all research to support the library and archives.
