Become a Member of Historic Richmond Town

Join the Historic Richmond Town membership program of the Staten Island Historical Society.

The Staten Island Historical Society was originally chartered in 1856 to "collect and preserve whatever relates to the history of Staten Island." Today, Historic Richmond Town is the result - a growing, evolving museum that interprets centuries of American life.  Our events and programs appeal to people of every age and background. You can support the preservation and presentation of our history by becoming a member today.

Remember, we celebrate the ordinary folks, from every background, who worked together to build this extraordinary country. Your membership is a vote of support for American history and will assist us in showing the children of today that no matter what their background or circumstance they too can contribute to the community and make this country an even better place.  We show them how they can continue the tradition of extraordinary work.

Since we believe in sharing in the results, your family will enjoy benefits of membership.  Great stuff that will make them very happy.

Skip the leftovers and enjoy open-hearth fire-cooked Thanksgiving samplings

Thanksgiving TableThe meal that many American families enjoy on Thanksgiving has deep roots in the earliest American food traditions. Historic Richmond Town’s three historic kitchens will be crackling with hardwood fires and open-hearth cooking on Saturday November 25 and Sunday November 26. Historic Interpreters will serve food samples that feature original old-world recipes that include food items that the colonists learned about from Native American culture, and then infused with the spices used in Europe.
