Historic Richmond Town offers judging at the NYC Chili Cookoff.  To judge this International Chili Society event you need no prior experience.  You will be trained the day of the event by the head judges.

Taste some of the best food in the country!
If you are interested in becoming a judge please call us at 718-351-1611 x. 241 or fill in the contact form below.

The NYC BBQ Cookoff is sanctioned by the Kansas City Barbecue Society.  KCBS trains judges through their organization. Please contact them directly to be certified as a judge.

Judging for both events is fun and enjoyable but the judging is taken seriously.  There is a lot prize money on the line as well as the opportunity to advance to the world championships.  Once you are trained or certified you will understand the strict rules and processes.  You will also have what you need to be a good judge.

We encourage members of the community to join us at these cookoffs as judges.  The experience is rewarding and you taste some of the best food in the country!
