Daily Tours

Touring Group 1Touring Middle Schoolers

Daily tours are scheduled during regular public hours Wednesday through Sunday at our main site, Richmondtown.  These are guided tours.

When you arrive at Historic Richmond Town please check in at the Visitor's Center in the Third County Courthouse.  Your admission allows you to tour the grounds of the main site and Historical Museum at your own leisure.  Your admission also includes one of our daily tours.  During these interpreter-led themed tours, the interpreter will lead you through the interiors of specific historic buildings.  The choice of buildings and interpretation are based on the theme of the day.  These are very informative and enjoyable.  We highly recommend them.  Please see the daily tour schedule below.

The daily tours are each different experiences so you may want to plan your visit based on what interests you the most.  And come back to see more!

Visits to Historic Richmond Town's other sites, tours of specific buildings and personal tours may be arranged by appointment. Please call us at 718-351-1611.

Skip the leftovers and enjoy open-hearth fire-cooked Thanksgiving samplings

Thanksgiving TableThe meal that many American families enjoy on Thanksgiving has deep roots in the earliest American food traditions. Historic Richmond Town’s three historic kitchens will be crackling with hardwood fires and open-hearth cooking on Saturday November 25 and Sunday November 26. Historic Interpreters will serve food samples that feature original old-world recipes that include food items that the colonists learned about from Native American culture, and then infused with the spices used in Europe.
