Historic Richmond Town offers discounted group rates to parties of 10 or more and welcome many types of visits, including but not limited to adults and kids of all ages, colleges and universities, groups of visitors with disabilities (please see our Accessibility page for additional details), camps and youth groups. Self-Guided Experience

Explore the historic village at your leisure in a self-guided experience includes access to the site’s houses and shops, where costumed historical interpreters recreate over 300 years of life and work on Staten Island; as well as a variety of daily programs. (Please call the week of your visit to inquire about daily offerings.)

  • Wednesday- Sunday, 11am-4pm.

    • Free Admission Thursdays, 2-4pm: Free admission does not apply to kids in groups. Advanced reservation for groups larger than 20 is REQUIRED.

  • 10-200 people

  • GROUP RATES: $8 ADULTS (12+) | $3 KIDS (6-11) | Free (KIDS 5 and under)

Fall & Winter

October - April

guided tour

Led by expert Historical Interpreters, the doors of the past open to you in a walking tour like none other in New York City. See the restored interiors of buildings chronicling eras of Staten Island's past, furnished with reproductions and artifacts in the Historic Richmond Town Collection. Your tour ticket also includes access to the Historical Museum, open 11am-5pm.

+The tour times listed above are our regularly scheduled daily guided tours and are also available for public booking. If you would like your tour to be a private tour, you must reserve all 25 slots. If you are looking for additional tour times outside of the regularly scheduled offerings by filling out this form.

Tours of the Billiou-Stillwell-Perine House are available during weekdays only for groups of up to 10 people at $100 per group.

Policies & Guidelines

  • All group reservations must be made at least one week prior to the requested date

  • Membership and other discounts do not apply to group admission.

  • Deposits for group sales must be submitted in advance to confirm booking.

  • Payment for group reservations MUST be submitted immediately upon group’s arrival. No group will be admitted to Historic Richmond Town without receipt of reservation payment.

  • Payment forms accepted: CASH, CREDIT CARD, or CHECK.

  • Credits and refunds will not be given for payments or cancellations of any kind less than 5 days in advance of the reservation date.

  • All individuals who lecture in the Museum and throughout the historic village and structures must have an organization-issued ID badge.

  • Historic Richmond Town staff presenting in the Museum galleries and in the historic village and structures have priority. Please yield to organization led programs.

  • Please follow the guidance of security officers and staff at all times

  • Before you arrive, please review the Historic Richmond Town Site Policies.

  • Historic Richmond Town reserves the right to refuse or revoke the admission of any visitor or group whose conduct violates these guidelines.
