The Richmond County Fair at Historic Richmond Town is back. More than 25,000 visitors are expected to join in the festivities, entertainment, fabulous food, contests, crafts, exhibits, shopping and living history demonstrations that are the best in New York City.

Presented by Time Warner Cable, this year’s EXCITING Richmond County Fair starts Friday night, September 5, with thrilling rides and a full-length movie, and amazing activities on Saturday and Sunday, September 6 & 7. The Richmond County Fair combines traditional features, like cotton candy, pie-eating and hot dog eating contests, and a flower & vegetable contest, with a mix of contemporary and retro entertainment.

The Fair will present an array of attractions for the whole family; you will see Robinson’s Racing Pigs, Pony Rides, Skin & Bones Comedy Circus - a unique presentation of animals, skill and comedy, and a Petting Zoo, to name a few. Enjoy visiting Dora the Explorer and Diego Saturday & Sunday at the Time Warner Cable Booth! The Staten Island Historical Society is committed to providing an authentic festival with something for everyone.

Richmond County Fair will feature one of the best Beatles cover bands around - “Beatlemania.” You'll hear and see other great entertainment by SteveSongs, The Nashville Attitude, Vito Picone and the Elegants, Live Music By Paris, Sounds Uncertain - and many more.

John Rodriguez
John Rodriguez will be available on Sunday afternoon for about on hour to sign free pictures at the Richmond County Fair. Rodriguez recently signed a minor league deal with the New York Mets and was assigned to Triple-A New Orleans. The veteran outfielder spent parts of two seasons in the majors with the St. Louis Cardinals, winning a World Series in 2006. He currently resides on Staten Island.
