Development Intern - Summer 2025
Historic Richmond Town seeks a Development Intern to assist with fundraising initiatives that provide support for the Museum’s operations and programs. The Intern reports directly to the Director of Development & Philanthropy.
Historic Richmond Town includes New York City’s living history village, a historical museum, an arboretum, a working family farm, and two other historic sites - including one of the oldest houses in New York State. Over 100,000 people visit annually to enjoy tours, education programs, museum exhibits, and special events. Historic Richmond Town is proud to be an equal opportunity employment workplace dedicated to pursuing and hiring a diverse workforce. We are committed to cultivating an inclusive work and learning environment and look for future team members who share that same value.
As a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization, Historic Richmond Town receives funding from the City of New York each year, and must raise the remaining funds to fulfill its mission and yearly budget. The Development Department ensures that all internal development operations are efficiently maintained, and all public-facing aspects of fundraising are clearly communicated to all constituencies. The Development Intern is an enthusiastic team member who is interested in learning more about the daily operations of fundraising in a mid-sized historical institution.
