The annual Historic Richmond Town community Tree Lighting celebration returns!
This December, Historic Richmond Town will be transformed into a holiday wonderland where guests of all ages will find themselves immersed in holiday cheer! Guests can enjoy living history demonstrations, shopping for gifts, crafts, and commemorative items from the tinsmith, carpenter, and general store; an old-fashioned horse drawn carriage, a visit from Santa and his helpers, hot and tasty local eats, and MUCH more that will bring on the jolly feel of the holiday spirit!
Step back through time to experience the holiday pleasures of centuries past. Evening tours illuminated by candlelight showcase more than three hundred years of yuletide on Staten Island, where culture and foodways from many countries combine to create something that is uniquely New York.
Experience yuletide through the ages at Historic Richmond Town with decorated interiors in historic structures throughout the village. Holiday House Tours conclude with a tour of the Courtroom, which is also decorated with a 15 foot Christmas Tree. Holiday House Tours at 4pm, which extend past sunset, feature final tour stops that are illuminated by candlelight & lamplight.

The Women’s Auxiliary of the Historic Richmond Town will hold its annual Yankee Peddler Day on Sunday, May 4. The market will feature dealers of antiques, collectibles, crafts, and new items. This event is perfect for seasoned collectors and new pickers alike. All proceeds from Yankee Peddler Day benefit Historic Richmond Town.
