Tavern Concerts
Saturday Nights at the Tavern
January through March • Shows at: 6:00PM & 8:00PM
This indoor winter concert series will take place in the newly restored Guyon Tavern, located on Richmond Road. The Tavern boasts a wood-burning stove, flickering candles, live music and the true feel of a 19th century saloon. Beverage options harken back to the period and include hot spiced apple cider, scratch made mulled wine, as well as a refreshing selection of beers. Restoration projects recently completed at the nearly 200 year old historic Guyon Tavern, repaired damage from a 2017 car accident as well as structural and cosmetic work giving the building a functional tavern space that is true to its 1820s heritage. Shows are scheduled for every Saturday, at 6:00:PM and 8:00PM.
The season starts with a bang! Bob Conroy and Norm Pederson, with Bill Doerge to perform Saturday, January 11th.

JANUARY 11: Norm Pederson, Bob Conroy & Bill Doerge
Bob and Norm with Bill will regale the Tavern with their program of Short Stories & Old Tunes! All skilled story-tellers & instrumentalists on banjo, guitar, fiddle & mandola. They lift traditional songs out of the faraway past into the vibrant present.
JANUARY 18: The Delorean Sisters
The DeLorean Sisters is a Brooklyn-based band that got their start reimagining 1980s synth pop hits as alt-country and Americana ditties. We strip some of the most familiar songs of the decade down to the bone and then reinvent them on largely acoustic instruments. Our innovative arrangements of songs by David Bowie, The Eurythmics, Depeche Mode, Danzig and others will make you hear these old songs in a completely new light.
January 25: Linda Russell
Linda Russell is a singer/songwriter who is also deeply rooted in traditional music. Playing mountain dulcimer and hammered dulcimer, Linda performs a variety of material ranging from early American ballads and love songs to mountain gospels, Irish dance tunes and her own compositions. Linda’s original songs tell of childhood summers, family sing-alongs and the abandoned farmhouses and eccentric characters of her Midwestern past. She’ll be accompanied by The Racket River Girls.

All hail America's Premier Jug Band! They might be Staten Island's only jug band but, who cares? We love their footstompin', postmodern, time-traveling, ragtime, Gonzo-Folk, traditional jug, protest songs, blues, and originals. Influenced by the 1960s folk revival and Depression Era America.
