In concert on the General Store porch at Historic Richmond Town

This summer, Historic Richmond Town is thrilled to partner with Carnegie Hall Citywide, a series of free concerts that are sensational celebrations of sounds from across the country and around the globe. At a Carnegie Hall Citywide concert, you can revisit your favorite music or try something new, stay in your home borough or journey farther afield. Jayme Stone’s Folklife

  • Jayme Stone, Banjo, Guitar, and Voice

  • Moira Smiley, Voice and Accordion

  • Sumaia Jackson, Fiddle and Voice

  • Andrew Ryan, Bass and Voice

Live from the porch of the General Store on July 10, this concert brings the music of North America to the center of Staten Island.

Jayme Stone’s irresistibly eclectic style bridges folk, jazz, and chamber music in explorations of the banjo’s historic role in music around the world. Stone has performed with such diverse artists as Malian kora master Mansa Sissoko (a recorded collaboration that earned a JUNO Award), former Carolina Chocolate Drop Dom Flemons, and others from a wide range of genres. Jayme Stone’s Folklife—featuring his band of vocals, accordion, fiddle, and bass—shines new light on traditional songs from the Georgia Sea Islands, Creole calypsos, Appalachian dance tunes, and more.

Seating is limited due to the intimacy of the space, and tickets must be reserved using the link below.

We invite you to pull up your own chair and join us for this free concert!

Lead support for Carnegie Hall Citywide is provided by the Howard Gilman Foundation.
