Staten Island By Name: Mapping Untold Stories of our Streets offers a new perspective on our borough. The talk will showcase our shared and diverse past through street names (and co-names), as well as names of parks, fields, schools, businesses and buildings.
Lori R. Weintrob is Professor of History and founding director of the Holocaust Center, at Wagner College. She received her B.A. from Princeton University and her M.A. and Ph.D. from the University of California, Los Angeles.
Heather M. Butts is an Associate Professor at Columbia University Mailman School of Public Health and is the co-founder or H.E.A.L.T.H for Youths, Inc. She received her B.A. from Princeton University, J.D. from St. John’s University School of Law, M.A. Public health from Harvard University.
Lina Montoya, “Ele Eme”, is a Graphic Designer, Muralist and Arts Educator, originally from Colombia. Staten-Island based, Montoya has been developing her career as Public Artist and Community Organizer for more than a decade, leading community-based projects around NYC.
