Italo ‘Tal’ Naccarato, the composer, songwriter, teaching artist, and instrumentalist (guitar, banjo, keyboards, harmonica) was born in the medieval mountain village of Fiumefreddo Bruzio in Calabria, Italy, and raised in East Flatbush, Brooklyn. His stylized original work, highlighting a deep appreciation for traditional Folk and Americana Roots music, is steeped heavily in Rock and Blues and includes his original classical guitar-inspired compositions, performed with a 'bluesy swing’.
About Tavern Concerts:
This indoor winter concert series takes place in the Guyon Tavern, located on Richmond Road. The Tavern boasts a wood-burning stove, flickering candles, live music and the true feel of a 19th century saloon. Beverage options harken back to the period and include hot spiced apple cider, homemade mulled wine, as well as a refreshing selection of beers. A variety of musical acts perform in the tavern each season. Solo acts, duos and mid-sized bands present folk songs of the young American Republic, original songs, and modern covers. Tavern Concerts provide an authentic unplugged musical experience true to the taverns of 1820s America; microphones, amplifiers, and other conveniences are absent.
