Ages 7+

Tickets included with Museum admission.

Get ready for Valentine’s Day at Historic Richmond Town! Join us and create your very own Victorian Valentine! All participants will have access to historic valentine's from the Museum's collection. The collection of valentines spans the time from the early age of lithography in the 19th and early 20th century to the mid 20th century; from cupids and flowers to breezy sentiments in red, white and blue sent to military service-members.

Materials for the workshop are included:

  • Paper lace

  • Reprints of Victorian cut-outs

  • Colored and gilded papers along with sweet sentiments

  • All the tools you’ll need to assemble your valentine.

Valentines will be donated to a local nursing home, but you can make one to take home too!

Greeting card (probably a valentine); folded and die-cut paper with hearts, flowers and arrows in blue and white, with applied die-cut flowers in shades of red and green.
